Half Acre Home is committed to the preservation

of healthy ways of living; living sustainably on our planet, living harmoniously in our communities
and living with wise choices as individuals for the well-being of ourselves and our families.
The fine, specialty foods carefully produced by this conscientious, little company either compliment or exemplify Pacific Northwest cuisine. Half Acre Home fruit preserves are uncommonly low in added sugar, containing just a touch of natural sweetener to crown summer-ripened fruit. The Bel-apeno Pepper Jelly is an excellent accompaniment to soft cheese and crackers, a salmon fillet or crab cakes.
Half Acre Home preserves are “micro-batched” and carefully handmade one recipe at a time. Fruit preserves are made in old fashioned “chunky-style” preserving  both the natural taste and the texture.
Half Acre Home Reserve
products, available in gift and holiday baskets, are grown distinctly on the Half Acre Home premises. No pesticides are used. These fruits and vegetables are fed with organic fertilizer which is produced on site by composting only other organic vegetation from the premises such as discarded fruits and vegetables. Reserve produce will be eligible for USDA Organic certification in 2011. Other produce in Half Acre Home preserves is grown less than 20 miles from the Half Acre Home establishment, in Oregon’s Mid Willamette Valley. Only produce and spices that grow poorly in our temperate climate are sparingly imported.

Providing healthy, nutritious, “thoughtful” food from local bounty was the impetus behind the Half Acre Home endeavor. It began with a bucketful of berries and a disbelief that 65% or more sugar had to be mixed into 35% or less fruit to make jam. Half Acre Home is a tiny company that believes the actions of one, “small” person can influence big changes in the world we live in.
And the most important part... These products are absolutely, positively, naturally delicious!
Welcome Home and thanks for stopping in!
